Deleting a Domain | One License Provisioned in NetSuite

NetSuite will not allow you to delete a domain if it is the only domain associated with a website setup record, even if it is not properly set up. Typically, this is easily solved by creating a second temporary domain so that you can edit your first.

However, in some cases, only one domain is provisioned, which results in you being unable to delete/edit it. This article shows how to delete the domain in this case.

Problem: Unable to Delete Domain

You cannot delete the domain if it is the only domain associated with the Website Setup Record.

You also cannot add a new domain since you only have one license provisioned.

Solution: Delete Website Setup Record

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Hopefully, you are still in the beginning stages of your setup, and deleting this record will not lose too much data. This is not an ideal solution, so it is important to ensure that deleting the domain is absolutely necessary in your specific scenario before moving forward with this solution.

Unfortunately, the solution to this problem is to delete the Website Setup Record.

Step 1: Go to the Website Setup Record.

Step 2: Go to Actions > and click Delete.

Step 3: Once this is done, go to the Domain record

Step 4: Go to Actions > and click Delete

It will take some time to load the deletion of this record, but it should disappear within 15 minutes. Once this is done, you can re-create the website setup record and properly set up the domain.
