A customer recently discovered that a fraudulent user had submitted thousands of cases through the My Account section of their SuiteCommerce store. Since they are using the standard signup process, there is no review of newly created lead records, so we needed a way to prevent these case submissions. One option would be to require approval for new sign-ups or set up reCAPTCHA during sign-up. Another option is to remove the cases functionality entirely, as none of their clients were using this feature of the site.
The cases tab can be removed entirely from the site by updating the customer center role permissions:
