When you create a new contact from within a customer or vendor record, native NetSuite functionality auto-populates the email address and phone number that are on the customer or vendor record into the new contact.
One of our clients wanted to prevent this from happening by making the fields on the new contact blank, thus making it easier to enter the specific contact’s information.
To solve this problem for our client, we implemented a NetSuite workflow to set the field values for new contacts to blank. Here is how we did it.
