When initially setting up the NetSuite Connector for BigCommerce, follow these steps to avoid Order Sync errors related to Payment Methods and Shipping Methods.
Possible Errors on the NetSuite Connector BigCommerce Orders Page
- The Shipment Method for this order hasn't been mapped. Please map this order's shipment method at https://app.farapp.com/settings#/marketplace_cart_settings/order_sync/shipment_settings
- Payment method hasn't been mapped. Please map this order's payment method here or view/edit all of your payment methods at https://app.farapp.com/settings#/marketplace_cart_settings/order_sync/payment_settings
These errors will prevent your Order(s) from Syncing to NetSuite successfully for the same general reason:
If your Payment Method and/or Shipping Method is not mapped within the NetSuite Connector before the Order is pulled into the interface, it will not automatically sync successfully to NetSuite.
Avoiding NetSuite Connector Payment and Shipping Errors
In order to avoid these errors, follow these steps (after setting up the NetSuite Connector initially and enabling the Order Sync):
Step 1: Create enough test orders in BigCommerce to represent each of the possible Payment Methods in BigCommerce.
Step 2: Create enough test orders in BigCommerce to represent each of the possible Shipping Methods in BigCommerce.
Step 3: Manually Retrieve these orders from BigCommerce into the NetSuite Connector using the Order IDs on the Orders Page (BigCommerce > Data Flows > Orders).
Step 4: Navigate to the BigCommerce > Settings > Orders > Payment page and select a mapping for each of the Payment Methods. Save the page.
Step 5: Navigate to the BigCommerce > Settings > Orders > Shipment page and select a mapping for each of the Shipping Methods. Save the page.
In the future, if any new Payment Methods or Shipping Methods are added to BigCommerce, these steps will need to be repeated.
