The invoice tab should show in checkout when the customer checking out has terms on their customer record. However, in some situations, this does not happen. The following are some common reasons why you may experience this error.

Resolving the Missing Invoice Tab Error
Here are two possible solutions for this issue:
Missing check box on "Allow non Credit Card Payment Methods during Checkout"
- Navigate to the Commerce > Websites > Website Lists
- Invoice will not show as a payment method if this box is not checked.
Ensure that the Sales Order Type is set correctly
- Companies often want to apply their custom sales order forms to webstore orders. This is fine, but you need to ensure the right fields are selected.
- Within the Website Setup record, go to the Checkout Preferences section.
- Make sure that you do not set the Sales Order Type with the custom form (as shown in the screenshot below).
Incorrect setup
- Rather, set the Sales Order Type to "Per Customer Basis".
- Then you can set the form you want in Credit Card Form and Invoice Form.
Correct Setup
- This should resolve the issue, and you should see the invoice tab in checkout.
Note: Be sure that you cache invalidate when testing these solutions.
